Our priority continues to be the health and wellbeing of our clients, their loved ones and the community we serve. Therefore, we will continue to put measures into place to protect you whilst still providing much needed & essential speech pathology services to the community.

Our commitment to you includes:

• Completing daily health and safety checks

• Keeping up-to-date with health guidelines and regulations to help protect you. This includes the use of face masks/shields, gloves and hand sanitiser/disinfectant, as well as maintaining social distancing, where possible.

S&SG will continue to provide speech pathology services via face-to-face and telehealth (online).

As part of our COVID health and safety measures, we will either call or text ahead of your appointment to check if: 

• you have been in contact with a COVID-19 case

• you have any cold, flu or fever symptoms 

• you have recently travelled overseas

• If you or anyone in your household is feeling unwell, we kindly ask that you let us know and we will happily reschedule until you are better or offer Telehealth appointment.

As S&SG serves older, vulnerable and immune-compromised people, we kindly ask that you alert us as soon as possible to ensure everyone’s safety.

Telehealth (Online) Sessions

​

If you are wanting to limit your interaction with people or you are concerned about face-to-face speech pathology sessions, we strongly encourage accessing online speech therapy services (also known as Telehealth). 

​

Telehealth is a successful and evidence-based approach to therapy that you can access in the comfort and safety of your own home. Research has shown that you can achieve the same success from therapy as compared to face-to-face therapy sessions.

​

Simply put, Telehealth means therapy sessions accessed online. We are currently using Zoom for Telehealth appointments. If you have never used Zoom or Telehealth, we are here to walk you through the process, so you feel prepared.
